Our History

Our firm was founded in 1987 as a regional retail brokerage house. In 2001 a new ownership group was established and the firm name was changed to Leede Financial Markets.

Over the next two years, a seasoned and dedicated management team came together to create one of Canada’s fastest growing, entrepreneurial, independent investment firms.

Leede Financial has grown to over 100 employees, and continues to grow in terms of size and the scope of products and services through the addition of highly qualified advisors and management personnel in both Alberta and British Columbia.

100% Employee Owned

One of the distinguishing characteristics of Leede Financial is that, despite being one of Western Canada’s larger investment firms devoted to the retail client, it retains the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of a family enterprise. Today, this employee-owned firm of over 80 shareholders, is working to ensure the firm continues its dedication to service into the future.

Perhaps it is not surprising that Leede Financial is owned entirely by its employees. The fact is our people are committed to success—their clients’, the company’s, and their own.
